I've installed a small script which makes it easier to download by simply left-clicking rather than right-clicking and selecting 'Save Target As'. Just one of those small things which should make my site easier to use.

I have only just found out that dynamics (piano/forte etc.) had been lost when I converted my scores to pdf files. I have rectified this by using images instead. The scores are now up with dynamics!
I have also moved the Notice Board onto a separate page as it was taking up too much space on the main page. I will always leave the latest 3 posts on the homepage though.

Later added: I have had to remove the Einaudi recordings since I found they were infringing copyrights. I am attempting to get permission to put them up though.

Even more Einaudi: Three more pieces on the Download Page. I have also recorded and uploaded Chopin's Ballade No.3 (for fans of true 'classical' music). I would call it my signature piece!

Site now has a better way of streaming music by using Flash technology (with nice new cool buttons too ;). Now all the music streams instantly on even the measliest internet connection (I should know: I've got one!), however the quality isn't great, but that's to be expected!
The mp3s are no worse though (if you can be bothered to download them!).

I have finally recorded and uploaded my guitar piece: it is only 1:30 long and very simple but I like it. However, as it's me playing it (I started 'teaching myself' the guitar in September), the playing is not great!
The score will soon follow.

Merry Christmas Everyone!
I have re-recorded the pieces that did not save properly, 5 in all: my two pieces and three Einaudi pieces (perhaps his most famous 3). They are now all in the download section.
I have also noticed that the 'streaming' links don't actually stream but wait instead for the mp3s to completely download. I think this is a server issue and I'm working on it but if anybody has any solutions (scripts or something) please let me know. Suggestions welcome! :)

I have changed host again to one that has been running since 1998, so I think it's here to stay! my site is therefore now back up (has been down even since last post (below).
I have bought an even better mic (a condenser mic this time) and recordings are much improved. I recorded 9 pieces 2 days ago (7 by my modern idol: Ludovico Einaudi (see below) and 2 were the two songs by me that were already on this website). Sadly five of the recordings did not save properly (including my two pieces) so I only have four left. I will re-record them but for now see the downloads page for 4 beautiful pieces by Ludovico Einaudi.

Site is now back up after about a month of downtime!
I can now record at more acceptable quality because of a new computer so I have uploaded a recording of me playing Passaggio by Ludovico Einaudi. He is a modern composer who writes in a relaxing romantic/minimalist style (www.ludovicoeinaudi.com). I know several of his piano pieces and plan to record and upload them soon as well as re-record my other pieces using the new soundcard.
I will also soon finish writing another piano piece: finally ;)

I have filtered the existing recordings to amplify them because they were too quiet and to remove the hiss.
I have also made blank sheet music for all you composers out there as a word document (pdf screws up the lines). You can print it out and use it as manuscript paper! Download it on the Download Page.

Website has been down for several days now because a hacker hacked my webhost. But as you are reading this it is obviously back up.

Have changed host (finally) so I am now using mp3s again (yay). I also do not have any ads and the page doesn't reload itself (lycos didn't like the domain name).

I have switched to using wma files instead of mp3s because Windows Media Player won't stream mp3s. The audio file links now work however I am aware that there are still problems with the scores. I will sort these out as soon as possible.

Have set up streaming mp3s as well as downloadable ones (with nice new buttons!). Download links for the mp3s are still unfunctional though I will change hosting as soon as I can (the chrishotson.co.nr link will still work).

I am simplifying the names of the pieces: removing the "Lyric Piece no.*" to stop future confusion about how the pieces are ordered. From now on they will just have a short name.
On this note I plan to add more music to my site: I have in total 3 piano pieces/ideas that I am working on, an organ toccata and a classical guitar piece (I recently picked up a second hand guitar in a charity shop and have been messing around with it for several weeks).

WEBPAGE GOES UP AGAIN!!!
Have switched webhost and website address because last host shut down (hence the new ad banners). Also now have a ‘domain’ name: www.chrishotson.co.nr

Uploaded new recordings of the two Lyric Pieces using a new and better microphone. Mp3s also now at double the bitrate (now 128 kbps) for improved quality.
