This is where you will find information on what I am writing and pieces I am planning to record.

Compositions in progress

'Three Romantic Miniatures' - This is a set of three short pieces in the style of Chopin. I have finished the first: 'Mazurka', which is available on the music page. I have finished the second and third as well, though this was hurried for use as a coursework, so I will be expanding and improving them before putting them on the site. The second is called 'Nocturne' (again!) and is 'Slow, rubato and dreamy' (quoting the score!). The third is called 'Polonaise" and is 'Fiery and rhythmic' (also quoting the score).

Toccata - My organ Toccata! This is a slow moving project (started writing it over the summer of 2003), but I intend to finish it. I have lost the manuscripts however (~7 pages of handwritten score!) but I will write it back down again. This is, incidentally, the manuscript you see as my site background!

Gershwin - Rhapsody in Blue (solo piano version) - Yes, this is a big challenge, but I'm getting the hang of those near-impossible bits!

Mozart - Sonatas K.282, 457 and 545 - Three Mozart Sonatas that I am learning, the most famous being the K.545 'Easy' Sonata.

Gershwin - Three Preludes for Piano - 3 short jazzy pieces.

Scott Joplin - I am getting back into ragtime so I will be adding some soon. These will probably be:

  (well I wouldn't get away with leaving it off the list would I!)
• Weeping Willow
• Paragon Rag
• Maybe more I've forgotten about!
